Don’t know if you’ve ever visited the Federal Business Opportunities site but it is quite  interesting.  Not only can you see federal contracts up for bid, and items needed by the government,  you can also bid on them if you are so equipped.  I  casually surfed the Fed Biz op site to see if it could hold any possibilities for products I could procure for the US Government.  I decided against the proposed 50 million dollar contract to dredge the port of  Gulfport Mississippi  even though the numbers were attractive to me. I’m a little short on barges and dredging equipment although I actually considered, for a half a minute, subcontracting it, lol.

During my search I found a product that i thought may be procurable.  It is basically a utility knife/boxcutter made by a company called Derma-Safe.  The United States Govt needs 50 boxes of 1000 of the utility knife “HR207″ I searched for the product and found the manufacturer company website.  I was intrigued that this company invented this simple product that was being specified for government works and gave the number a call.  I was suprised that the line was answered by  Warren Grosjean  the inventor.   Now Warren sounds like a fiesty gentleman in the same vein as Gus Mcrae in Lonesome Dove.  Not only has he patented the utility knife, he has several other ingenious products that he has developed over the recent years.
